About Dr. Mendola
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Dr. Calogera Mendola has dedicated her career to providing high-quality eye care to her hometown community. After earning her B.S. from Canisius College in 1997, Dr. Mendola chased her optometry passion at The New England College of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2001.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Mendola is known for her personalized approach to patient care; she knows the latest tech, methods, and research. She also has decades of experience handling all aspects of eye care, including vision correction, contact lens fittings, and eye disease management. Her ability to meet patients where they are is why she’s so skilled at identifying the perfect pair of frames for a patient or knowing the insight questions to ask during a dry eye evaluation.
When not serving patients, she enjoys volunteering in community events around Buffalo and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
