About Dr. Gewolb
Dr. Gewolb grew up in Long Island, NY, before she attended the University of Pittsburgh to earn her biology degree. After finishing her degree, she spent a summer shadowing a local optometrist, and was drawn to the interpersonal connections made in eye care. This experience led her to enroll at SUNY College of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry. After graduation, she moved to Seattle to complete a residency in primary eye care at Kaiser Permanente, where she focused on ocular disease treatment and specialty contact lenses.
Now she lives in Buffalo, NY, where she serves patients at Value Vision in Lackawanna, and in addition to offering primary eye care, helps treat ocular diseases like AMD and glaucoma.
When she’s not serving patients, Dr. Gewolb enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling with her family — and her dog, Stevie!
